BFMP is an open-source, freeware (donationware
), use "as is" or modify to your liking, non-warranteed, business template project developed using Filemaker Pro Advanced 9.0. Being open-source and freeware, it is inexpensive to implement for very small to medium sized companies.
The BFMP.fp7 Filemaker database file is unlocked and open to full customization by administrators and developers.
BFMP is currently in an alpha stage of development (meaning that the features have been set, but not fully developed). We are hoping that Version 2009.01 Beta will be released into the wild in 1Q2009. Release 2009.01 Beta may not have any synchronization functions.
Target Audience:
BFMP is targeted for use by very small (1-5 users) to medium (90 users) sized businesses that have the following needs:
- Multiple Languages (English and Spanish are standard)
- Multiple Currencies (buy and sell in multiple currencies with the USD as the base currency)
- Multiple Locations & Users (Up to 90 locations (10 per location group))
- Multiple Users (Up to 90 users standard; additional users will require customization)
- Multiple Pricing Levels (Set by Customer, product, brand, department, category, subcategory)
- Multiple Tax Methods
- Common Administrator for all locations
- Common product cost among locations for a unique product ID
- Individual product selling price for each location
- Document generation for Sales, Purchasing, Credit, Debit, Stock Transfer, Wish List, and Inventory Adjustments
- Inventory control by location
- Visually pleasing photo catalogs based on product search result or products in a generated document (e.g. Sales Quote)
- Point of Sale functionality with various payment methods and change due.
- Bar code label printing (provided via the inexpensive Scodigo SmartPHP extension)
